Villa Cathay Care for Seniors Month 2026 brings our community together to help provide programs and meaningful experiences that enrich the lives of seniors at Villa Cathay Care Home.
Government funding supports essential daily and clinical care, but it does not fully cover many of the programs that promote residents’ physical, emotional, and social well-being. Compared with the B.C. provincial average, Villa Cathay residents arrive with higher and more complex clinical and daily living needs. Support from donors and community partners helps Villa Cathay provide programs that keep residents active, connected, and engaged.
Bringing More to Each Day
Proceeds from Care for Seniors Month 2026 will support a range of wellness, rehabilitation, therapeutic, recreation, and cultural programs and services. These include acupuncture and massage therapy, rehabilitation, speech-language pathology services, art and music therapy, recreation therapy, and culturally meaningful programs and celebrations.
Your support helps residents maintain mobility, express themselves, enjoy companionship, and have something meaningful to look forward to each day.
Activities of Care for Seniors Month 2026:
- Online fundraising campaign including email and social media outreach
- Fundraising Team competition
- Mass Media promotion in CHMB AM1320 and Fairchild Radio AM1470 and FM96.1, Ming Pao Daily and Sing Tao Daily.
- Online Silent Auction till November 28, 2025
